JJ is a USPTA Tennis Professional Level 1, Coaching Youth Sports and certified in CPR/First Aid. He has been a teaching pro since he was 18 years old having started working in tennis academies, summer camps and country clubs. He has a complete understanding of how to hit all the shots, play from all positions and in all game situations, both offensively and defensively, with emphasis on enjoyment and sportsmanship.
As a Junior, his best ranking was #64 under 16 years group - in COSAT (South America Tennis Confederation). His best national ranking was #8 in Ecuador, under 18 years old group. JJ double majored in Accounting and Finance at Limestone University (SC). During his college years he was ranked ITA #19 in doubles and was an honored ITA Scholar-Athlete (2021 & 2022).
